TEKNA® Depth Compensating SCUBA weight belt buckle, spring loaded buckle.
Tired of adjusting your weight belt underwater due to wet suit compression at depth? The Tekna spring loaded Depth Compensating stainless steel weight belt buckle (introduced in 1979) is what you need. Threads onto standard 1/8" x 2" (50mm) weight belt webbing (not included).
When you don and tighten your weight belt, you stretch out and pull the spring loaded buckle out to keep the belt snug. As you descend and your wet suit compresses, the Tekna Depth Compensating Buckle springs compress with your wetsuit, continuously compensating for the loss of thickness your wetsuit. When you ascend, the buckle springs contract to compensate for the expanding wet suit, keeping your belt comfortable and snug from the start to the finish of your dive.
